I don&#039;t think -- off hand anyway, I remember reading a book quite like you have explained. 
 
I&#039;ve read JL Langly&#039;s With/Without werewolf series, where the main couple of one book are secondary couples in the next, and barely mentioned in the third. 
 
But to take a strong personality, main character of three books and put him in a secondary roll? 
Yeah - you could do it!  (me? I&#039;d make puppy chow out of it!)
